(-3)×(-7)=+21

(+6)×(-7)=-42

rules

rule1:

the product of positive integer and negative integer is negative

(-12)x5 = -60

rule2:

the product of two positive integers is positive 

4x 5 =20

rule3 :

   the product of two negative integers is positive

     (-5)x(-10) = 50

 

rule4

  a  x ( - 1 ) =  - a     and    a x 1 = a   

            

rule5 :

If both the dividend and divisor are negative, the quotient will be positive.
(-16) ÷ (-4) = +4

  rule6 :

     If only one of the dividend or divisor is negative, the quotient

     will be negative.
(+16) ÷ (-4) = -4     or      (-16) ÷ (+4) = -4  .
